FFL Consultants was founded to close the gap between what regulations require and how firearms businesses actually operate day to day. We saw too many owners relying on outdated checklists, "mis-direction" from visiting IOIs, incomplete training, or last-minute scramble before an inspection.

John “JB” Bocker is the Co-Founder of FFL Consultants and one of the most trusted firearms compliance advisors in the United States. With more than a decade of hands-on experience supporting gun dealers, manufacturers, pawnshops, and ranges nationwide, JB has built a reputation for being the person FFLs call when they need fast, accurate, confidential guidance on federal and state firearms regulations.

A former FFL operator and seasoned risk management & compliance strategist, JB specializes in helping businesses stay inspection-ready, avoid violations, and confidently navigate the ever-shifting ATF regulatory landscape. He has personally assisted hundreds of FFLs during inspections, adverse-action proceedings, theft/loss events, and operational audits — always working discreetly to protect licenses, prevent escalation, and strengthen internal controls.

Known for his direct communication style and practical, real-world approach, JB breaks complex firearms laws into plain, usable guidance dealers can act on immediately.
